Miss Sporty So Matte Perfect Stay Pressed Powder in 001 Light
Product description: ‘Absorbs excess oil and helps to eliminate shiny zones. Helps to reduce appearance of fine lines and skin imperfections. Provides Matte yet natural look and silky smooth make up finish. Leaves a pleasant skin feel. To be worn alone or over the make-up’.
Miss Sporty So Matte Perfect Stay Pressed Powder comes in this cute little compact which includes a little mirror and sponge applicator. The packaging is quite stylish and strong, although the hinge on the compact seems a little weak. I haven’t actually tried the sponge applicator as I always prefer to use a powder brush. However, for quick touch ups on the go, the little sponge applicator may well come in handy one day!
The powder itself is a very fine texture and feels quite smooth. It can be used to set cream foundations, concealers, blushers and eye shadows. Like most pressed powders, it gives an fairly opaque finish, especially when compared to most loose powders which usually give a sheer and transparent finish. Setting your cream foundation and any other cream formula make up products you wear is usually a must, even if your skin is quite dry and not prone to oiliness. This is because typically throughout the day, if your cream formula make up products are not set in place with powder, they may literally slide off your face due to the natural effects of gravity.
This powder blends well and hides shine, however the results of hiding shine are not super long lasting. It has a slight talc scent but is largely fragrance free. It stays on the face over make-up quite well and is easy to blend. This powder can be purchased from the Miss Sporty website and from Boots for £1.99. However, I bought mine from my local Pound World so it was a real bargain and definitely worth trying.
