Hi Lovelies,
Today’s Post is a Little bit different; it’s all about Wellies! Although not traditionally thought of as the most glamorous footwear in the world for ladies, in weather such as we have seen recently here in the UK, they are pretty much essential!
I was very fortunate recently to have been offered to try a pair of wellies from Barratts Online. I chose these lovely Swirl print ones below.

I found these wellies to be a good fit, not too narrow or too small. I got them in a size 5 and they fit perfectly. I usually take a size five in footwear but sometimes I can take a size 5.5 or even a 6. I was tempted to get these wellies in the next size up just to be on the safe side as I figured that I could always wear thick wellie socks to make them fit better if they were loose. However, the next size up were out of stock and I’m glad now because these size 5’s are just right for me! Even if these had been the wrong size, I wouldn’t have worried because with Barratts it’s free to return your purchase to any Barratts store or I could have simply posted them back if necessary.
I like that there is an adjustable buckle on the side so you can adjust it to fit your calf size better. This is especially good if you have slimmer than average calves. If you have quite wider than average calves, I would recommend that you try a wide fit wellington because otherwise you may find that standard wellies, even with the adjustable buckle, are too tight around your calves and you may have to roll the tops down in order to comfortably wear them.
These wellies are made from a lovely flexible materials making them easy to walk in. They also feel surprisingly lightweight unlike some wellies which can feel more like iron boots! I also love the fact that they have a thick tread depth on the bottom giving them good grip in snowy, rainy, icy or muddy conditions. It also probably goes without saying, but yes, I can confirm that they do keep my feet lovely and dry too!
I enjoyed the ease of buying these wellies online. The communication from Barratts was really good. I was able to track my order once it had been dispatched, making it easier to predict when I could expect them to arrive. The postage and packaging costs were reasonable at £3.50.
A good pair of wellies can come in handy for so many different occasions and weather conditions, so I’m really glad I’ve got these little beauties. The Great British weather can throw torrential rain, hail and snow at me now but I WILL be prepared for it! Thanks Barratts!
