Today’s post features a review of a new type of beauty box: a beauty box containing lovely high quality, full size products with a subscription free service!
Betrousse are a leading beauty box provider in France and have quite recently launched their fabulous service here in the UK. They currently offer seven different themed beauty ‘kits’ or boxes, all of which are available for a one-off purchase via their website.

This lip gloss can be worn either alone or over your favourite lipstick. The slight shimmer effect in this lip gloss is really summery and would be perfect for spicing up pretty much any lipstick shade. It has the texture of a lip balm, isn’t sticky and feels really moisturising on the lips.

This shampoo has a beautiful, light floral scent. I’d happily wear the scent of this shampoo as a perfume as it is so delicate and summery!
I’m really excited to try this shampoo as it will be the first sodium lauryl / laureth sulfate free shampoo I’ve ever used. This is perfect because my hair is a little bit dry at the moment, especially on the ends so a gentle, natural shampoo such as this one should be perfect for cleansing my hair without stripping out all the natural oils, leaving it feeling dry and brittle like some harsher shampoos can do.
This product should really come with a little halo floating around the lid not just because it’s heavenly (;-P) but also because it’s pure, natural, organic and perhaps best of all, it’s animal cruelty free and environmentally friendly as the packaging is biodegradable!
BENTA BERRY
G-1 exfoliating Facial cleanser for boys and girls

This massage oil for the feet sounds amazing, in fact it sounds better than most of lotions and potions I usually put on my face and yet this is designed for use on the feet! Who doesn’t love a good foot massage, it’s so relaxing and de-stressing. And apparently, there is some scientific evidence to suggest that foot massage can have a beneficial effect on health overall, including eliminating impurities from the body and stimulating circulation and lymphatic drainage. This is great news as we now all have a fantastic excuse to take time out for a little foot pampering. This stuff does smell amazing and the cooling minty freshness is perfect for restoring and relaxing tired feet.
Final Thoughts…
I really do think that the people at Betrousse have got a very unique approach to the now somewhat overcrowded beauty box industry and I think they really do stand out from the crowd in a very positive way. I love the fact that all of the products contained in their ‘kits’ or boxes are full size and that they are always high quality products. I think they offer excellent value for money and offer a gateway to the world of premium products for girls on a budget like me. I also appreciate the fact they offer lots of brands that are new to me as I want to try new things! I would also recommend popping over to their website here as they have lots of interesting beauty related info and tips as well as the opportunity to test products.
