As a beauty blogger, I love beauty products and I always want to share my thoughts on every single product I use with my readers. But I buy and use a lot of products, I don’t always get to feature everything on here. So, I thought that a ‘what’s in my shower?’ type post could be really useful to showcase some of the beauty products that I’m currently using and let you know what I think of them.
So, here goes…

PRO:VOKE Touch of Silver Twice A Week Brightening Shampoo With Violet Pigment – 150 ml & PRO:VOKE Touch of Silver Intense Treatment Conditioner With Optical Brightener – 150 ml |
This shampoo and conditioner duo is pretty amazing for brightening up and re-conditioning blonde hair. They’re super intensive formulas designed be used twice a week. The shampoo contains a violet pigment that neutralizes those brassy or orange tones that blonde hair can sometimes be prone too developing. It’s a really bright purple colour which looks a little frightening to put on your hair at first but I find that it works wonders for keeping blonde hair bright and beautiful! The conditioner leaves my hair silky soft and smooth and there’s even a hint of shine in my hair after using these two which is a rare thing indeed for blonde hair. They also smell really good too! I have, and will continue to re-purchase this vibrant haircare duo!
This shampoo is from a luxury brand that specializes in hotel toiletries and has recently branched out into personal haircare but this product would certainly still look very fitting in an expensive hotel bathroom! The packaging is lovely, it certainly adds a touch of class to my bathroom and the pump dispenser is very practical and a bit of a novelty for a shampoo! I find this to be a very cleansing shampoo which is really good at removing any oil / product build up from my hair. It also has a lovely scent but if I wouldn’t re-purchase this as it’s not special enough to warrant the £15 price tag in my opinion. A nice product to try on a one-off basis though.
Phil smith SOS Rescue Damage Protection Shampoo – 250 ml
Phil smith SOS Rescue Damage Protection Shampoo – 250 ml |
Phil Smith Shampoos are sold in exclusively in Sainsburys and they bring a bit of salon quality to a supermarket price tag. It’s a strengthening shampoo designed to protect hair against daily damage caused by heat styling. I like this shampoo and it leaves my hair feeling strong and healthy. It has a slightly herbal scent that is quite pleasant. It’s probably best used with other products from the same range but I currently only have the shampoo. There’s a newer version of this shampoo available which also contains Moroccan Argan Oil and I’m very tempted to try it and to also pick up a few other items from the range!
Dove Hair Therapy Nutritive Solutions Nourishing Oil Care Regenerating Mask – 200 ml
I’ve already tried, loved, used up and want to repurchase the shampoo, conditioner and dry oil spray from the same Dove range as this. Now I’ve almost finished up this lovely stuff too! I use this this hair mask every time I was my hair and sometimes I even forgo conditioner altogether in favour of using this hair mask alone! It’s deeply conditioning and even though the roots of my hair can get quite oily, the ends of my hair can get very, very dry indeed. I need something to nourish and hydrate the ends of my hair and this has been doing a great job. My hair has been coloured a lot over the years and I’m now trying to grow it long so keeping my hair in good condition is really important to me at the moment. I will continue to use hair masks very frequently as they seem to really help to maintain the condition of my hair and *mask* all of the damaging things I have done to it! #pardonthepun
L’Oreal Preferance Brass Defy Conditioner – 54 ml
This came with a L’Oreal Preference Hair Dye I used a while ago and although the dye itself didn’t wow me this conditioner is actually quite good. It’s designed to reduce the fading and brassiness that can occur after dying hair blonde. This seems to condition my hair very well but I’m struggling to use this thing up as it seems to last forever despite it only being tiny!
Look out for part two where I will showcase my current body care products!

I'm glad I'm not the only one with several shampoos and conditioners on the go! I was starting to think I had a problem!

I like to rotate my hair care products at least weekly so I have quite a few hair care products in the shower. I wish we had Pro Voke products here. And I have never seen that Dove mask either. *Sigh*
What a shame the tesco b natural is discontinued as my blog is all about natural products
