As I mentioned earlier, in order to be eligible for this free gift, I had to spend at least £14.99 on L’Oreal makeup in a single transaction. So I took this opportunity to replenish my makeup bag with some new base products that I’ve been wanting to try for a while.
The first thing I picked up was the L’Oreal True Match Foundation (£9.99). I picked up the shade N1 Ivory but I would have preferred to get C1 Rose Ivory had it been in stock as my complexion is cool toned. However, I have tried this foundation today and my first impressions are that it is a good match for my skin colour, the coverage is good and the formula is blendable and lightweight. But even with a good foundation primer underneath (Max Factor Facefinity), it’s not as long wearing as my beloved Revlon Colourstay for Oily/Combination skin is even without any primer! Many people also seem to report that the True Match foundation breaks them out so watch this space for an update and a full review.

I also picked up another concealer as I’m trying to branch out from my usual Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer which has been my go to concealer for the longest time! This is the L’Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Creamy Concealer (5.99) in the shade 10 Ivory. I’m defiantly interested to see how well this performs both under my eyes and over blemishes as it sounds great but I’ll let you know my thoughts once I’ve tried it out.
