Max Factor All That Glitters Free Christmas Gift With Purchase 2014 |
The first thing I chose to put in my basket was a product that I’ve wanted to try for ages; the Max Factor Facefinity 3 in 1 foundation (£11.99) in the shade Light Ivory 40. I’ve had some good experiences with Max Factor foundations in the past and I’ve seen many positive reviews on this one so I’m glad I found an excuse to pick it up at last! This claims to be a combined 3 in 1 formula containing primer, concealer and foundation. I’ve tried this out once so far and my first impressions are good! The shade is a good match, the coverage is medium to full and it’s a blendable, lightweight formula that wears really well throughout the day! I did use a touch of concealer where I needed extra covereage but this does a good job on it’s own and it’s great for days when you don’t have a lot of time for putting on makeup. Look out for a full review coming soon.

The second item I picked up was something I’d never even seen or heard of before I saw it on the beauty counter but I’m glad I decided to purchase my first ever Max Factor Excess Shimmer Eyeshadow (£7.99) in the shade 20 Copper as it’s a really nice product. I’ve already tried this out quite a few times now and the formula is really creamy and blendable plus it lasts on my eyes all day without creasing even without primer! As the name would imply, the finish is shimmery and this neutral shade is such an easy product to wear on days where I don’t have time to do a full eyeshadow look. Just like most cream eyeshadows, it comes in a little glass jar and it’s really easy to apply with a finger making it quick and easy to use.

I got this gift set last weekend as I went in to buy two of the Excess shimmers, Copper and Bronze, both divine. I really love the red lipstick that came in the gift set and I've just bought my second bottle of the Facefinity foundation with the voucher that also comes in the box. Its my favourite foundation by far.
The Excess Shimmer eyeshadows are lovely, I can't believe I'd never heard about them before. The Facefinity foundation is beginning to rival my all time fave up until now: the Revlon Colorstay! It just lasts sooo well and looks really great on the skin too. I also picked up the Facefinity Primer with my voucher 😉 I think the Max Factor free gift with purchases are probably my favorite ever 😀
It's such good value for money, the mascara alone is worth £10.99! It also makes a lovely gift for someone 🙂
P.S. I'm enjoying your vlogmas vlogs! I always love seeing all the events you go to in London 😀
I hardly ever pass up on an opportunity to get more beauty products for my money so I'm a sucker for these kinds of deals but this one is definitely a goody 😀
Some great brands do these makeup kits for free with a £15 spend but my fave is probably the Max Factor one this year 😀
