Mani Monday: Max Factor Glossfinity Nail Polish
Max Factor is one of my favourite drugstore brands because the quality is consistent. That isn’t to say I’ve never had a disappointing product from Max Factor but most of their products exceed my expectations. Quality is what I expect from a brand that claims to be the make up of make-up artists!
It’s difficult to find long lasting nail polish from drugstore makeup brands. The Max Factor Glossfinity nail polish range claims to last for up to 7 days. The packaging is befitting of a quality product and the nail polish itself doesn’t disappoint. It glides on smoothly, has great opacity with one coat and layers easily without bubbling. It also sets to touch dry quickly and has a glossy finish that renders a topcoat largely unnecessary.
Virtual Fuchsia
The shade I picked up recently is Virtual Fuchsia (118). I think that it’s more of a bold red shade than a fuchsia and it falls somewhere between a classic ruby-red and a juicy cherry red shade. It has a silver micro shimmer which translates nicely on to the nails, adding a subtle sparkle without full on glitter. This makes for an eye-catching effect that’s still sophisticated and grown-up.
Although this formula will not last anywhere near seven days on my nails, it certainly wears a lot better than many other formulas I’ve tried. I’m already three days into wearing this and have only experienced very little chipping so far which for me, is nothing short of miraculous! Especially considering the lack of topcoat! I’m definitely happy with that level of durability.
I picked up this nail polish from a pound shop. I think this shade is now discontinued although thankfully, the Glossfinity nail polish range from Max Factor is still very much alive and well as the formula is great! It’s stocked in Boots and Superdrug.
I’ll be wearing this shade again soon as I feel that it’s right for the up and coming festive period. Not that I want to sound too ahead of myself or anything by referring to Christmas before Halloween is even here! But ya know, hate to say it, but there are only 82 days left until Christmas!
***Resolves to start Christmas shopping this week***
